This 188-page e-book by Marcia Yudkin is a real gem. Strangely, I can’t remember exactly how I came to learn about it. But as soon as I started reading, I was totally captivated.
What’s it about?
It’s about creativity, inspiration, intuition and coming up with great ideas.
It’s about your own potential, it’s about your ability to create, it’s about your personal life and your business life.
It’s about how creative people through the centuries have stumbled across, looked for and worked hard at creating something new.
It’s about recognizing that all of us have a creative side, all of us have an entrepreneurial side and all of us can come up with amazing, new ideas.
You don’t believe that? You don’t believe you are creative? Well, you are. We all have that potential. Some of us recognize it, nurture it and listen very carefully to our creative side. Others deny it, ignore the subtle messages and creations of our minds, and go through life having ignored a thousand great ideas.
Here’s what you get...
First of all, this is the kind of book you would expect to find not by chance on the Web, but featured prominently among non-fiction best-sellers in a major book store. It’s that good. At least, in my opinion it is.
Second, in addition to exploring numerous aspects of creativity, intuition and personal productivity, Yudkin also delivers plenty of How-To chapters.
Alongside fascinating examples and anecdotes from some of the most creative and successful people of all time, she also outlines ways in which we can work and live more creatively.
Of particular interest to me was the section on procrastination and our enduring ability to sabotage our own best interests, our most creative ideas and, ultimately, our lives.
You need to be creative...
Whether you are a writer or an entrepreneur, your success at work depends on your ability to be creative.
You need ideas.
Not only will growth in your own creativity improve the work you do, but it will also make your life a whole lot more satisfying and enjoyable.
There are few things more rewarding in life than having a genuinely creative idea and seeing it through to its final, successful expression.
My advice. Buy this book...for yourself, your colleagues, your spouse, your children and your best friends.
It’s a wonderful read. And it could change your life.
